When I was in high school, nerds were NOT cool! If you had any hopes of fitting in with the ‘cool crowd’, you DARE not tell people that you spend hours in front of your computer talking to people you had never met in real life. Playing video games for hours on end was something you kept to yourself and being a fan of ‘cartoons’ and comics would pretty much be the nail in your cool coffin. Nobody knew what ‘LOL’ meant, ‘:)’ was an impossible typo, and the term ‘downloading an mp3′ might as well have been latin. more…

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine the other day. I can’t remember what it was about but it’s not unusual for us to reminisce about past relationships oftentimes laughing at some ridiculous thing that happened. We were trying to remember the name of one past boyfriend who had been involve in quite a scandalous memory. She insisted it was my ex, I told her no. She said, “Yes, man the white one with the greyish eyes”. I said, “Nope, that can’t be me I’ve never dated outside my race”.
